[seedig] SEEDIG 6 Updates & Ongoing registration

Dear Narine,

SEEDIG’s web infrastructure (websites and emails) has been down since last Monday due to a major cyber-attack experienced by our hosting provider. We’ve been informing about this incident via all SEEDIG social media channels. We are sorry to hear that our members who do use social networks, do not follow our updates. Otherwise, this news couldn’t skip your attention.

Moreover, we mobilized the scarce resources that we have to create the new webpage from the scratch over a night to make the SEEDIG 6 experience for all community members as smooth as possible. 

We would appreciate it more if our emails with the calls for volunteers and support got the same fast response dynamics.

As you know, there are only 2 days and 20 hours left before the SEEDIG 6 kicks off on Monday, 21 September. As we wrap up the final preparations, we would like to share with you a few important updates.

1. As you may know by now, SEEDIG's web infrastructure has been down since early this week. To deal with the situation, we have created a temporary website with key information about SEEDIG 6: https://seedig.diplomacy.edu. We kindly ask you to refer to this page until further notice.

2. Over the weekend, we will be sending you information on how to join SEEDIG's sessions and creative tracks next week. Please follow the steps below to make sure you see these emails: kindly add these email addresses – seedig at seedig.net and seedig at diplomacy.edu – to your contacts list. (We will be using them alternatively, depending on the situation. Please, make sure you also check your 'promotion' and 'spam' folders, as our emails might also end up there.

If by Monday you do not receive our emails with access details, please do write to us at the email addresses mentioned above.

We thank you for your understanding, as we deal with the ongoing challenges. 

The good news are that if you missed the registration deadline, you still have a chance to join us for SEEDIG 6, as we decided to keep the registration open throughout the meeting. Register yourself here and invite others to attend our sessions and creative tracks next week.

We miss you all and look forward to seeing you next week, at least in the online setting
