Dear all,

 

As someone who started a petition, I just want to overview the responses and
to touch the current situation.

Although Caf was saying he will not respond, he did that partially - and
immediately after, he left from the list.

This is what he quoted:

Regarding the report (mentioned in the petition), 
I was not responsible for its preparation.

He was responsible through 4 roles: host, legal 
representative of organization paying in the name of SEEDIG, chair of the PC
and member of exe com


 

The report was delayed primarily due to miscommunication between the member 
of the executive committee, responsible for the report, and the designer
(and perhaps due to other priority tasks related to the preparations for the
SEEDIG 5 meeting)

He was responsible, but - beyond that, in the same year, same designers were
doing monthly SEE Summary in PDFs, without any delay. There was no
miscommunication which will lead to over a year of delay. It's simply
impossible. Exe com could simply find another team of designers to finish
the task in a matter of minutes, not year.


 

while the financial data were provided at the time of preparing the report 
(and were known before as well).

They were not known at SEEDIG meeting in Bucharest
- a year after


 

In my correspondence and blog posts, 
I have not touched the financial aspects,

I wonder why?

In the blog posts and both emails (of 18 December 2019 and 9 January 2020),
you can find answers to most of the questions you may have regarding SEEDIG
and the petition. 

In fact, no. He never explained why he didn't inform the community first,
like it is written in ToR. Blog post was actually the trigger for the
petition, not answer to the petition.

the election committee should act neutrally, impartially, and independently 
from any member of the executive committee (especially from its chair), and
from any observer.

Exactly the point in the petition. And he 
was not acting like he wrote here, in fact, he was acting quite opposite as
a member of exe com - interfering in election process.

look under point 1 - he thought that he was not responsible.

 

Anyway, I don't want to go further into his fake news blogs, and the facts
that he twisted. Why? Because, there is no proof and it's not based by
truth.

 

How it would be to start to act like him? Let me for a moment twist few
facts like him and throw some smoke here - imagine that he was writing
complaints to Fotjon? 

Or imagine that he wrote email for Peter Sterle and Peter just sent it?

Or imagine that the problem is not in his blog posts, but in the legal
entity - WG will decide on jurisdiction and he wants that to be Slovenia and
his organization? That's why he started to write emails to supporting orgs
and blog posts?

Or imagine that there is no money left in Slovenia, he spent all of them?

Would it be nice to twist the facts like this, and make some not proven
assumptions? And trying to get answers from him?

 

No, it would be awful to go his way, it is not normal to create some fake
news and try to get reaction on that.

And that's why everyone is staying away until "the water is clear again" -
his story is not even serious. 

And, that's why I will stick to the proven facts written in petition, which
I can prove anywhere at any point. 

At the same time, I still hope that this situation can be solved without
lawyers and I am giving peace a chance, in line with Roberto's thoughts. 

 

Let us work.
