Dear colleagues,

Earlier today, we hosted an online public meeting to discuss the next
steps in the SEEDIG 6 planning process. Many thanks to all those who
attended.

As a follow-up to this meeting, we would like to share with you the
following notes and reminders:

1. The SEEDIG 6 core team (Executive Committee and Programme Committee,
together with local partners) are still exploring whether SEEDIG 6 could
be held in situ or should be moved online. A decision in this regard
will be taken by the end of May 2020 (possibly sooner), following
discussions with local authorities in Moldova and consultations with
SEEDIG partners.

 	* At the moment, we are of the view that, if SEEDIG 6 moves online,
the best approach would be to spread the sessions in the current
programme [1] across several days and weeks (as opposed to expecting the
community to follow two full days of SEEDIG sessions online). Should a
decision be made in this regard, we will look more carefully into
options and alternatives.

2. Meanwhile, the programme planning process continues in a two-track
approach, considering both options of an in situ and an online meeting.

3. We remind you that, UNTIL 10 MAY, THE COMMUNITY IS INVITED TO SUBMIT
SUGGESTIONS FOR SESSION FORMATS AND KEY PARTICIPANTS, VIA THIS
COLLABORATIVE DOCUMENT [2]. Given the above, we invite you to submit
suggestions for speakers that (a) might be able to join us in Moldova
and (b) are more likely to join us online.

4. After 10 May, the Programme Committee will review all suggestions and
start contacting key participants. It is therefore very important that
your suggestions are submitted by that date (there will be no later
opportunity).

Thank you!

Best regards,

Sorina

(on behalf of the SEEDIG 6 core team)
