Dear community members,

Thank you Sorina for sharing this reminder distributed by the IGF Secretariat about the call for nominations for new members of the IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG).

I think this is a perfect opportunity for this community to demonstrate transparency, unity and to stand behind one of it's members! It is obvious, In our situation EE means SEEDIG !
When I read the propositions, "one seat to be filled for Eastern Europe, within the private sector stakeholder group" and "nominations from countries that have so far not been represented on the MAG will have an advantage. According to the IGF Secretariat, these countries are Albania, Georgia, Montenegro and Slovenia, the idea came by itself! We have the perfect candidate for nomination, our fellow Ucha Seturi!

I don’t think I need to explain ( at least to this group ) who is Ucha Seturi, a prominent member of the Georgian IG community, Coordinator of the Georgian National IGF and a brilliant co-host of the last year EuroDIG in Tbilisi! And he comes from the private sector.

Subject to his definitive acceptance of this proposal / nomination, I call you to support Ucha as our / SEEDIG candidate for this one seat in the MAG. I’m sure Ucha will represent not only Georgia but also his presence will bring the voice of SEEDIG in the MAG !

Of course, you do not have to agree 100 % with me and you may have other favorites ! I do believe many other excellent candidates will be nominated for this one seat ! I wish them all good luck !

Let's do our part and help the best candidate wins ! Hint : As I understand, one person ( nominee ) can be nominated by more than one nominator !

Best regards,

Aleksandar Icokaev

Dear SEEDIG community,
At the request of the IGF Secretariat, I am kindly remining you about the call for nominations for new members of the IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG). The role of the MAG is to assist the UN Secretary-General in convening annual IGF meetings, by advising on the programme and schedule.

The deadline for nominations is 30 June. As you can see in these notes, there is one seat to be filled for Eastern Europe, within the private sector stakeholder group. If you belong to this group or know someone who might be interested in joining the MAG, do consider s_ubmiting a nomination.

Kindly note that nominations for stakeholders coming from countries that have so far not been represented on the MAG will have an advantage. According to the IGF Secretariat, these countries are Albania, Georgia, Montenegro and Slovenia.

More details about the process are available at https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/mag-2020-renewal and https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/mag-renewal-2020-general-guidance.

Best regards,

Sorina
