Dear everyone,

While thanking all those who have commented on the SEEDIG 5 draft
programme, I would like to reply here to the questions raised today via
the list.

@Ucha: The section on Internet infrastructure was included in the draft
programme based on some of the proposals submitted under the Technical
and operational issues category, and considering the support expressed
during the two online planning meetings for at least a portion of the
SEEDIG programme to tackle issues of interest for network operators
(NOs) and the broader technical community. One of the purposes of this
section is to encourage NOs and NOGs to get more actively involved in
SEEDIG, even if there might be overlaps between the SEEDIG programme and
the programmes of NOG meetings. As for your question on what will be
discussed under 'Cooperation among NOs (network operator groups) and NOs
as stakeholders in Internet governance debates and processes', there
would be two purposes: (1) for NOGs to share good practices, as a way to
inspire NOs in SEE+ countries to establish such groups, and (2) for the
overall discussion to also touch on why and how NOs and NOGs
should/could contribute to Internet governance processes.

@Yohko and Tanja: Some of the proposals under Media and literacy were
included under the section 'S4.2 Online content and Internet
intermediary responsibility' (especially those around fake news, hate
speech, and copyright). We have taken note of your interest in having
media development issues included in this section, and your suggestions
will be shared with the Programme Committee (once formed), for further
consideration during the next stages of the planning process.

I hope these clarifications are useful.

Best,

Sorina
