Dear Dusan,
As you touched upon the concern raised by me, whether the process is
bottom-up or top-down, I will provide my humble feedback here.
I do not think that *changing the rule without letting anyone in the
community aware and agree on it *- constitutes the idea of bottom-up
process. You changed the rule twice: 1. you accepted a joint application,
2. you allocated to that single application two slots. Was anyone in the
community aware that such joint applications were possible and accepted? I
think, if people knew about that possibility, you may have a lot of other
outstanding applications from two/three/etc.... members of the community.
I would also like to mention here, that this is not about certain people, I
deeply respects Fotjon and Oliana, as brilliant people and experts. This
is about principle: either you decide and implement everything on your own
(as clearly described in your letter below), or you respect the community
and take into account the rules, proposed and approved by the community.
Best regards to everyone,
Narine
p.s. I would also like to add here, that in the meantime I received an
email from Gergana Petrova, asking me why particularly I have been writing
to the SEEDIG mailing list, and not to Chair, or Executive Committee
exclusively. I would like to explain here once again, the reason is *I
believe wholeheartedly in Democracy, Transparency and Bottom-Up Processes*.
I believe SEEDIG will become such process one day.
