[seedig] Host for the SEEDIG 2019 meeting

Dear SEEDIG community members, 

We are glad to inform you that the SEEDIG 2019 annual meeting will be
held in BUCHAREST, ROMANIA, IN EARLY MAY. 

The exact dates are yet to be confirmed with our local partners and will
be announced as soon as they are set. We will have again a two-day
event, preceded by our capacity development programmes (the Youth School
and the Fellowship Programme). 

After prolonged discussions in Romania, we are delighted to announce
that the following entities are willing to support the meeting as local
partners: 

 	* Committee on information and communications technology, Chamber of
Deputies, Parliament of Romania
 	* Ministry of Communications and Information Society
 	* Association for Technology and Internet
 	* National University of Political Studies and Public Administration

As we go ahead with the planning process, we are reaching out to other
local stakeholders to attract their support. 

As you may know, Romania will hold the Presidency of the Council of the
European Union in the first half of 2019, and this was a strong reason
for having SEEDIG hosted there. Together with the Ministry of
Communications and Information Society, we will be looking into creating
linkages between SEEDIG and the digital policy-related events organised
in the context of the EU Presidency. We hope this will bring SEEDIG more
visibility and institutional support, and also help facilitate
strengthened cooperation across South Eastern Europe and the
neighbouring area (beyond EU member states). 

With this, we would also like to remind you about the call for issues
[1], opened until 30 November. We count on you to help us create a
meaningful programme for our fifth annual meeting. 

We look forward to any feedback you may have on any of the above.
