Dear SeeDIG members,
Great to be on this list and many thanks, Dusan for pre-introduction:)

I’m Asli Telli Aydemir, a Research fellow at Uni-Siegen Locating Media PhD
program. Before moving to Germany last year, I taught at Fac of Comm of a
few different universities in Istanbul and also continued digital activism
in EDRi (European Digital Rights Initiative) as a representative of
Alternative Informatics Association (Alternatif Bilisim) in Turkey. I also
coordinated and/or took part in international projects in the fields of
digital literacy, digital media and culture as well as knowledge commons. I
participated in several IGF conferences and Eurodig since 2010 as a CSO rep
with an academic perspective.

I have a proposal regarding « The Requirement of Digital Skills that
further the Digital Literacy Gaps Worldwide », through which we can have a
regional (SouthEast Europe) perspective to be more critical on a
comparative basis. Thus, in the provisional list,  we need support from
Africa, Australia and SouthEast Asia in order to develop an extended
framework for gatherings after SeeDIG as well. Just a short notice to alert
the list on collaboration:)) Pls. write back with any ideas.
