Dear all,
With the election process now finalised, my colleagues and I would like to
add a few notes here as the newly elected SEEDIG executive committee.
First, we would like to thank all those who have contributed to this
election process: the working group which drafted the Terms of Reference,
the election committee (Aleksandar, Oksana and Zdravko, as full members,
and EuroDIG (Sandra), ICANN (Andrea) and the IGF Secretariat (Anja), as
observers), all candidates, and all those who took a bit of their time to
go though the nominations and submit their votes. And also additional
thanks to ICANN for facilitating the actual voting process.
We are honoured by, and we thank you for the trust you have placed in us,
through your votes. And we commit to do our best, both as a group and as
individual members, to facilitate the growth and strengthening of SEEDIG.
As Arvin put it, it is now time to focus on the work ahead us. And there is
quite a lot to be done. The executive committee will have its first meeting
soon, and you will hear more from us after that.
Meanwhile, we would like to remind you that SEEDIG’s strenght lies in its
community and its supporters. Our role is to act as facilitators of the
process, but the ownership of SEEDIG should rest with you all. So we will
continue to count on you and your active involvement in all SEEDIG
activities and planning. And, as a concrete action point: Please do not
forget that you have a bit more than a month available to suggest topics

that you would like to discuss at SEEDIG 2018, in Ljubljana.
Many thanks, once again!
Best regards,
Sorina
(on behalf of the SEEDIG executive committee)
