Dear colleagues,
The Cooperation and Development Network Eastern Europe (CDNEE
<https://www.cdnee.org/about/who-are-we/>) is pleased to announce a call
for participants for the seminar “Digitised security: How to read the
surveillance discourse and fight it!," which will take place close to
Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 24-30 April 2017.
I am a member of the prep team for this event, and we are looking for 35-40
young people with a background in digital and/or human rights activism as
well as young green activists and members of green organisations coming
from any Council of Europe member states, as well as Kosovo,* Belarus, and
Kazakhstan. We want to stress that we are looking for both activists with
experience in digital rights as well those who are new to the field and
want to get to know this important topic. We also encourage applications
reflecting diversity in all forms, especially gender and sexual orientation.
All sessions held during the seminar will be conducted in English.
The full cost of lodging (accommodation, food, and refreshments) during the
seminar will be covered by the organisers. In exchange, we ask for a
participation fee of 30 EUR for participants coming from non-EU countries
and 50 EUR for participants coming from EU countries (and Norway,
Switzerland, and Iceland). According to the project’s financial agreement,
up to 70% of travel costs will be reimbursed.
The DEADLINE for submitting the completed application is *Sunday, 5 March
2017 at Midnight (CET).*
