Dear Sorina and colleagues,

I wish this email find you all good and relaxed after summer holydays.
I have read the SEEDIG 2017 Report for review and  I congratulate all the team for the contribution during its preparation and overall information included in it.

Referring to all S6 themes (it is missed unnumbered Open DATA), you have described them in details emphasizing the key messages.

As Albanian representative in GAC and also participant in some events . I found that you have covered a lot of issues we face as well.

S2 – Broadband Infrastructure – is the key issue to ensure the access for everybody in internet and also in public services, that’s mean that we need to work also to invest in order to cover all people’s needs. Different studies are undertaken in order to cover cross boarders or white zones with no interest from private companies
We have done a lot on Open Data, but your key element “…open data include free culture, Internet freedom, and the right to privacy” ,  have to be taken into consideration on further projects.

All issues raised by Mr Panagiotis stands for all of us. So, my suggestion is to go further. What are the next steps ? Action plan to improve and cover all the gaps between SEE countries and EU ?

In terms of feedback, here are my general comments:

1. It was good to see participants from every country in the region. Looking at the map on page 25, it would be nice to see participants from Greece and Cyprus invited next year as well.

2. It was great to see so many people had positive feedback for it (as demonstrated by the survey).

3. I loved the idea someone suggested about appointing an ambassador for each SEE country. I definitely support this idea.

The report covers the SEEDIG 2017 cycle, and contains information about both the annual meeting and intersessional activities. It is quite long, but, following consultations with the IGF Secretariat, it was determined that it is useful to provide as many details as possible about the SEEDIG process, both for transparency reasons, and for other initiatives to be able to follow any of our practices, should they wish to.

With this, we would also like to thank you all, once again, for having contributed to SEEDIG activities over the past year.
